Gearmaker.ai — Return & Remake Policy

Entity: Brittle Fluid d/b/a FinalRev
Effective: September 16, 2025

Our Promise

We make every part to the specifications you provide—your drawing/3D model (“Print”) or your online configurator selections (“Configurator Settings”).

When We’ll Fix It

You’re covered if a part is out of spec compared to your Print or Configurator Settings, or outside our shop tolerances when no tighter tolerance was called out.

  • Bores: ±0.001"
  • All other features: our Standard Shop Tolerances (available on request)
  • Normal machining marks or cosmetic blemishes that don’t affect function are considered in-tolerance unless you specified a finish

What’s Not Eligible

  • Errors/omissions in the Print or Configurator Settings (wrong units, missing tolerances, ambiguous callouts)
  • Changes sent after order placement unless confirmed in writing
  • Cosmetic preferences not specified
  • Damage after delivery (mishandling, storage, installation, secondary ops) or parts altered by others
  • Buyer’s remorse or over-ordering (all parts are made-to-order)

How to Start a Claim

Email david+gearmaker@finalrev.com within 14 calendar days of delivery (48 hours for visible shipping damage) with:

  • Order number and clear photos
  • The feature you believe is out of spec, expected value/tolerance, and your measured value/method

If parts need to be returned, we’ll issue an RMA. If it’s our fault, we’ll send a prepaid label; otherwise, return shipping is on you.

Our Inspection & Remedy

We inspect with calibrated equipment and standard practices.

  • If non-conformance is confirmed and it’s our fault, at our option we’ll remake the parts or refund/credit the affected line(s).
  • If parts are in spec, we’ll return them; shipping/diagnostic costs may be charged back.

Shipping Damage

Keep packaging and notify us within 48 hours. If we arranged shipment, we’ll help process the claim and coordinate a remedy once validated.

Limits & Legal

  • Total liability is capped at the amount paid for the affected parts. We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., downtime, re-qualification, lost profits).
  • No additional warranties beyond the conformance promise above (including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).
  • Governing law: California; exclusive venue in Alameda County, CA courts.
