What is Gearmaker?
Gearmaker is a web app for designing precision gears and ordering real, functional micro gears in metal. Dial in your parameters, preview in 3D, and check out—no CAD expertise required. It’s the fastest way to go from idea to usable gearing.
Why we built it
Building reliable gear trains for prototypes and products shouldn’t require weeks of CAD work or minimum order quantities. We wanted an easy way to configure small, high-quality gears and get them made—fast. Gearmaker brings parametric design and manufacturing together so you can focus on building.
We’re shipping frequent improvements and expanding materials and sizes based on your feedback.
How it works
Built by finalREV
finalREV is a quick-turn machine shop in Oakland, California focused on removing bottlenecks in hardware engineering. We’re building software-first, vertically integrated factories to help teams iterate at the speed of software.
